Hair & Attire
Ballet
Hair in a bun, studio leotard, tights, ballet slippers. Males: white T-shirt, black shorts, ballet slippers.

Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acro/Gym, Tap
Studio shorts & top, hair must be pulled away from the face. Proper shoes for each class should be worn.
​
Ballroom
A studio skirt must be worn. Ballroom heels.
​
Hip-Hop
Baggy clothing and sneakers. Hats and other accessories can be worn.

John & Cookie Sr/Jr/Teen/Mini Classes
Studio Lycra shorts. Female: studio half top; Males: tank tops and t-shirt.

ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINKS
ALLOWED IN THE STUDIOS.
Students are not allowed to leave the studio without parental/guardian permission.
Etiquette

Arrive early to class or be on time. Punctuality is paramount to your success. Stretch independently.

Place your belongings in the dressing area, away from the dance floor.

For ballet class, assume your position at the barre. Stand center floor for jazz, tap, modern, and contemporary styles.

Adhere to the dress code in footwear, clothing, and hair. Be certain to remove all jewelry.

Silence your mobile phone and do not ever text or take a call during class time.​
​

Be quiet during class. There are generally moments of conversation during class.
​

Remain in your role as a student during class time. Do not correct other students.​
​

Respect your instructors and other dancers.
